How links handles data

This is a small public side project. The goal of this notice is to explain, in plain language, what data the app stores, what data it sends to third parties, and why.

Last updated: March 18, 2026

Account data

If you create an account, the app stores your name, email address, and account record so you can sign in and use the app.

Passwords and sessions

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, not in plain text. The app also uses a session cookie to keep you signed in after login. That session cookie is necessary for the app to work and is not used for advertising.

User content

The notes, statements, entities, and relationship data you create are stored on the server so the app can show your graph, feed, and related views.

Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, the app loads PostHog to measure page views and product usage. Analytics are used to understand which parts of the app are being used and to improve the product. PostHog is not loaded until you accept.

Your choices

You can decline analytics from the banner. Your choice is stored in a first-party consent cookie so the app remembers it. Theme preference is also stored locally in your browser.

Third parties

The app sends analytics events to PostHog only if you accept analytics. The app does not use ad-tech or sell personal information through this analytics setup.

Changes

This notice may change as the project evolves. Significant changes should be reflected on this page with a new updated date.

Scope

This page is intended as a practical disclosure for this project, not a substitute for legal advice. If the project starts serving a broader audience or adds more vendors, the notice should be revisited.
